Power where people actually sit, rather than a daisy chain of extension leads. This is the Volta power range: under desk modules, round in-desk units, pop up units with wireless charging, and complete kits that bring sockets, USB A and C, HDMI and CAT6 up through the desktop, plus the Impulse desktop power unit with three sockets. Small boxes, but they are the difference between a tidy desk setup and a floor full of trailing leads.
Choosing desk power
Start by counting what each person plugs in: laptop, monitor, phone, and often a second charger. A Volta under desk module with three sockets covers a typical workstation and keeps everything off the floor, while the desktop units put sockets at hand height, which staff will actually use instead of crawling under the desk. The Volta power kit is the complete answer for a new bank of desks: desktop ports, under desk module and mains lead in one box.
For meeting spaces, the pop up units are the ones to fit. They sit flush in the table until pressed, and the four socket version adds a wireless charging pad. Volta modules chain together with connecting cables, so one mains feed runs a whole bench: a single fused UK plug at the wall, clean power at every seat.
Cable tidying and the furniture it feeds
Power modules work best alongside proper containment, so look at cable management and electrical for the baskets, spines and clips that carry the leads, and monitor arms to keep screens clear of the sockets. Volta pop up modules come factory fitted in Volta boardroom tables, and any boardroom table we supply can be specified with power from day one. A cable spine is near essential under sit-stand desks, where the desktop moves and the leads must travel with it.
Desk power and electrical accessories in Belfast and across Northern Ireland
We fit desk power as part of furniture installations across Northern Ireland every week, in Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Antrim, Bangor, Derry and Newry. Modules arrive fitted to the furniture where possible, our installers mount the rest under desks on site, and the boxes and wrap leave with us.
The cheapest time to sort power is while the desks are being planned, not after everyone has moved in. Tell us how many seats you have and what each one needs to charge and we will spec the modules and leads, or ring +44 (0)2890 770019 and we will talk it through over the plan.
