Floor screens divide a room without hiring a builder. We carry the Impulse Plus free standing and half vision screens for splitting desk groups and marking out walkways, and the Sch! acoustic floor standing screen for when the problem is noise as much as sight lines. Move them, rearrange them, take them with you when the lease ends: a floor screen is layout you can pick up, which is exactly why open plan offices lean on them so heavily.
Choosing a floor screen
Decide what you are blocking. If it is sight only, the Impulse Plus free standing screen does the job economically in a spread of fabric colours. The half vision version swaps the upper panel for glazing, so it breaks up a room while daylight and eye contact still travel, which matters between teams that need to talk. Wherever you place them, screens work hardest when they interrupt the straight line between a noise source and the people it bothers.
If the complaint is echo and chatter rather than visual distraction, standard fabric on its own will not fix it. The Sch! floor standing screen is a genuinely absorbent acoustic panel, and it pairs well with acoustic baffles overhead and acoustic wall tiles in rooms that ring like a swimming pool.
Screens at the desk and beyond
For separating people who share a bench, desktop screens do the same job at worktop scale. Full privacy for calls and focus work needs a booth or pod, and the acoustic solutions hub lays the whole toolkit out side by side so you can compare.
Floor screens in Belfast and across Northern Ireland
We deliver and position floor screens for offices in Belfast, Newtownabbey, Antrim, Lisburn, Newry and beyond. Screens are flat, heavy and awkward in the van and simple once placed: we carry them in, fit the stabilising feet, set the run straight and take the packaging away with us.
Fighting a noisy open plan floor? Describe the room, or better still send a plan with the desks marked on it, and we will tell you where screens will help and where they honestly will not. Call +44 (0)2890 770019.
