Desktop screens are the quickest way to give people a bit of privacy and a lot less noise without moving a single desk. This range runs from the Impulse straight screen at 400mm high through the Impulse Plus family in wave, oblong and angle shapes at 450mm, to the upholstered Sch! acoustic desktop screens and the Air screens made for bench desking. All of them fix to the desks you already own.
Choosing a desktop screen
Height first: a 400mm screen gives visual separation while seated colleagues can still talk over the top, and the 450mm Impulse Plus sits a little taller for more focus. Shape is mostly taste, wave and oblong versions do the same job, though the rounded corner options feel softer in open plan. If the aim is genuinely quieter desks rather than just a visual divide, the Sch! acoustic desktop screens absorb sound rather than merely blocking the view, and pair well with acoustic tiles on nearby walls.
Match the screen to the desking. The Evolve and Impulse Plus bench screens are made for shared spines, and the Air desktop screen at 400mm and the 800mm back-to-back version are cut for Air benches specifically, including the sit stand benches in our height adjustable desks range. Backdrop versions from the Impulse Plus family wrap the back edge of a single desk, useful for anyone on video calls all day.
When a desktop screen is not enough
Screens fix noise between neighbours; they cannot fix a loud room. If the whole floor rings, look at the broader acoustic solutions range, add floor screens to break up walkways, or hang acoustic baffles where the ceiling is the problem. A room of straightforward rectangular desks or bench desks with modest screens usually beats an elaborate layout without them.
