Choosing a monitor arm
The right screen position is simple to describe and nearly impossible to achieve with a fixed stand: top of the screen at eye level, roughly an arm's length away. An arm gets you there and holds it, and lets you nudge the screen for glare, turn it to share with a colleague, or push it right back when the desk needs to be a table for an hour. The quick release monitor arms add a detachable plate, worth having wherever laptops and hot deskers come and go, or where screens move between rooms.
Check three things before ordering: the desk edge the clamp needs, the VESA pattern on the back of your screen, and the screen weight, though most office monitors sit comfortably inside the limits.
